Our Mission

The Alameda County Library Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in our communities by supporting and strengthening the Alameda County Library system.

Since our founding, we have worked to ensure that our libraries remain vibrant centers of learning, culture, and community engagement, accessible to all residents regardless of age, background, or economic status.

Our History

Established to bridge the gap between public funding and the evolving needs of our communities, we have been a vital partner to the Alameda County Library system for over three decades.

Our Team

Composed of dedicated community members, library advocates, and professionals, our board and staff work tirelessly to ensure our libraries have the resources they need to serve our communities.
